Assignment 10

Write a paper expressing your understanding of the challenges facing using XML technologies - the pros and cons, the unfulfilled potential and possibilities - for some specific information-related need of your choosing.   Use the literature review section from Assignment 1 and the specifics from Assignment 7 in this paper.   Post the paper on your portfolio site.

XML Paper

For my paper -- and attendant class PowerPoint presentation -- I focused on Geospatial data and XML standards that address it. The paper isn't a standard essay but rather a draft of a "pathfinder" or reference on various XML standards for geospatial data.

As I found in the course of researching this topic, there are a lot of standards, and many are related to one another; I hope to add to this working draft as I come across other standards or related developments.
