For this assignment, we look at a set of Java classes. Java, an object-oriented, multi-platform programming developed by Sun Microsystems (no, not by a certain island in Indonesia!) is a powerful tool for manipulting data in XML and other containers. However, for non-programming mere mortals like myself, a more lightweight client-side tool like Javascript (no relation) would probably be a more realistic application. The documentation and training on Sun's website for Java, organized into "trails", is quite appealing ... maybe the next career...>>
